The Gimpel Family

In September of 2011, Chris and Tracy and their daughter, Melinda, began driving to Marietta, Ohio to serve as interim pastor for a year. At the end of that year, Chris Gimpel was voted in as pastor of New Life Pentecostals.

Pastor Gimpel’s ability to preach with great anointing and his burden for outreach is taking New Life Pentecostals to the next level. Pastor Gimpel has served in many positions in the Ohio District United Pentecostal Church, including Youth Secretary/Treasurer and Secretary/Treasurer of the Home Missions Division. Pastor Gimpel has great aspirations for what God will continue to do at New Life Pentecostals in Marietta.

From the flatlands of Nebraska, Pastor Gimpel left his homeland to join his wife in serving with her parents, Rev. and Mrs. Wilbur White, who served as pastor in Coshocton, Ohio for thirty years. A bi-vocational pastor, Pastor Gimpel received his Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Zane State College while also working full time as a draftsman and serving in the church.

After serving in Coshocton for 26 years, the Gimpel family moved to Marietta. Pastor Gimpel continues to work full time as the lead draftsman in his firm, but his true calling is to serve as pastor of New Life Pentecostals. “Ministering to others and serving the church is what brings me the greatest fulfillment,” says Pastor Gimpel. “While I need my ‘day job’ to meet our earthly needs, serving others through teaching, preaching, and fellowship is the true call of my heart.”

Tracy Gimpel enjoys serving beside her husband. Raised in a pastor’s home, Tracy has been in ministry most of her life. She keeps busy with her own business at Capstone Digital Marketing, leading worship, teaching, and taking care of her family. Tracy loves people and is passionate about anything that comes her way.

Melinda Gimpel is the youngest of three siblings, and she is a Marietta College graduate, majoring in communication, and works at Capstone Digital Marketing as the Chief Communication Officer. Melinda teaches Sunday School, as well as playing and teaching at church.
